Free Plan

Cost: Free Access: claude.ai What's included:
  • Access to the Claude Sonnet model (the mid-tier model)
  • Unlimited conversations — but with an hourly rate limit
  • Standard context window (~200K tokens)
  • File uploads in chat
The real limit: the rate limit. If you use Claude intensively for a few hours, you'll get a message like "You've reached the usage limit. Try again in X hours." This is the main reason serious users upgrade to Pro. Good for:
  • Occasional Claude users (a few times a week)
  • People testing Claude before buying
  • Light personal use

Pro Plan

Cost: $20 USD/month Access: claude.ai/settings/billing What it adds over Free:

When it's worth it:
  • You use Claude daily for work
  • You've already hit the rate limit
  • You want Claude Opus for critical tasks (complex analysis, important writing)
  • You want Projects to organize work per client or project
Direct ROI: if you save even just 1 hour of work per month thanks to Claude Pro, the subscription pays for itself.

---

Team Plan

Cost: $25 USD/user/month (minimum 2 users) Access: claude.ai/teams What it adds over Pro:
  • Shared workspace among team members
  • Shared Projects: the team works on the same Claude projects
  • Admin console to manage access
  • Enhanced privacy: data not used for training (unlike Free)
  • Centralized billing
Good for:
  • Teams of 2+ people using Claude together
  • Companies with data privacy requirements
  • Agencies managing multiple clients with Claude

---

Enterprise Plan

  3. Enter payment details (credit card or PayPal)

Free vs Pro: practical test

To help you understand if Pro is worth it for you, try this test:

For 3 days, use Claude Free intensively:
  • In the morning to plan your day
  • During work to write, analyze, solve problems
  • In the evening to summarize documents or emails

If in these 3 days you've received the rate limit message at least 2-3 times, Pro pays for itself. You're already losing time waiting.
